'Leadership as an Identity' Author to Speak March 28

Dr. Crawford W. Loritts, Jr., a nationally known bible speaker, author and senior pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Rosewell, Georgia, will speak at an event hosted by the Catherine T. MacArthur School of Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University and the PBA Alumni Association at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the DeSantis Family Chapel, 300 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach.


Loritts speak on “Leadership as an Identity,” which is the title of his book. The presentation is free and open to the public. The lecture is part of the MacArthur Leadership Speaker Series.  Loritts was ordained to the ministry in March 1972. He attended Cairn University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in bible with an emphasis on pastoral studies. He and his wife, Karen, married on May 22, 1971.

He’s traveled throughout the US, Caribbean, Asia, Canada, South America, Africa and parts of Europe preaching in churches, evangelistic outreaches, conferences, in colleges and seminaries. He has been the featured speaker at Super Bowls, NCAA Final Four Chapel, and the Pentagon with senior military officers.

He and his wife, Karen, are featured speakers at Family Life marriage conferences. They are co-authors of “Developing Character in Your Child.” Loritts has written eight books including newly released, “Unshaken.”

Loritts has a doctor of divinity from Biola University, a doctor of sacred theology from Cairn University, a doctor of divinity from Moody Bible Institute, a doctor of letters from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a doctor of divinity from Columbia International University. He holds several board positions including CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ). He is a visiting professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Loritts is the host of two national radio programs, the weekend program “Living a Legacy,” and the daily program, “Legacy Moments.”

They have four married children. Bryan, Heather, Bryndan and Holly, and have 10 grandchildren. Presently, Loritts serves as Senior Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Georgia

Also during the event, the Jerms McGraw Second Chance Scholarship will be presented to two PBA students. The scholarship was created in memory of U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Lt. Jeremiah McGraw. Known by his nickname “Jerms,” Lt. McGraw was a student in the MacArthur School of Leadership while serving as a Marine reservist, part of the 4th ANGLICO unit in West Palm Beach.

Lt. McGraw died on Sept. 10, 2009, during a training exercise in Central Florida while serving his country. He was 22. Prior to his death, Lt. McGraw earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from PBA.
