COLLEGE EARNS TOP 10 RANKINGS FOR WORK WITH VETERANS

March 2019

Palm Beach State College has earned national top 10 rankings from two military publishers for the second consecutive year.

“Viqtory” and “Military Times” have placed the college fourth and seventh respectively on their lists of the best higher education institutions for veterans, making it the highest-ranking Florida school in its category, a news release said.

“Viqtory,” formerly known as Victory Media, has again designated the college a gold “Top 10” Military Friendly School, the highest level, and increased the college’s rank from seventh to fourth among large public postsecondary institutions in the U.S.

In “Military Times’ 2019 Best for Vets: Colleges” list, the college moved up from eighth to seventh among twoyear institutions nationwide.

“We rose in the rankings due to the college’s strong and growing commitment to veterans,” said Matthew Watkins, veteran’s affairs manager. “During the past year, we opened our new Veterans Success Center on the Lake Worth campus, continued to serve veterans with resource centers on the Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens campuses and in three active student veterans clubs, and hosted innovative collegewide programming to boost veterans’ involvement at PBSC.”
