Lynn University College of Business and Management’s fashion and retail students will go bigger than ever in the 15th annual Spring Fashion Show. Titled “A Knight at the Carnaval,” the show will take place on Saturday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center.

“A Knight at the Carnaval” will feature styles that represent each continent with every scene expressing different cultures and flavors. In addition to apparel curated by retailers, 13 apparel product development students will show their creativity and innovation in fashion design by debuting their creations on the runway.

“The show is organized by 32 students who are in the once-yearly fashion show production class and will feature ensembles that break cultural barriers,” said Lisa Dandeo, associate professor and coordinator of the Fashion and Retail program at Lynn. “A runway show of this size requires a lot more than regular class time. To see the participants add to their course load and volunteer their time is a real testament as to who they are as leaders, as well as students.”

Students in Dandeo’s class have also helped produce local fashion events for Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Miami Swim Week, Lord & Taylor, A Key to the Cure, the Susan G. Komen Cancer Research Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. The students routinely travel to cities such as New York and Las Vegas to volunteer at fashion weeks and gain experience for their own spring production.
