District CIO Nominated for Award Recognizing Excellence in Technology Leadership
Deepak Agarwal, chief information officer for the School District of Palm Beach County, is among the finalists for the Miami CIO of the Year ORBIE Award.
Agarwal is part of an elite group of contenders chosen from nearly 100 nominations submitted for this year's awards. He is nominated in the Large Enterprise category, alongside other executives who lead technology divisions in sizable organizations.
The Awards honor chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership and management effectiveness. Nominees are also assessed on the business value they have created by technology innovation, the size and scope of their responsibilities, as well as their engagement in industry and community endeavors.
Agarwal has been with the District for more than a decade, and is known for his ability to build and lead high performance teams that drive business development and ensure attention to customer success.
Nominees will go through a multi-step judging process in which prior ORBIE winners select the recipients of this year’s awards. Winners will be revealed during a virtual event on May 21.
