Early Decisions Benefit Freshman Students at Palm Beach Atlantic University

October 2017

High expectations were set as 20 students in the I’m In Early Program (IIEP) were awarded for their early decisions to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University. President M.B. Fleming, Jr. said that he looks forward to the students’ experience at the University to transform their stories into a brighter future.

The IIEP is a special scholarship for high achieving juniors who find PBA to be a strong option for their collegiate pursuits. Recipients of the IIEP receive an annual scholarship, credit towards textbooks at the Campus Store, an iPad, and priority housing selection and registration.

Freshman students Melodie Zuelke from Clearwater, Florida and Nehemiah Pride from Sarasota, Florida both shared that they felt that God opened PBA’s doors for them. Zuelke, who is studying nursing, said that she fell in love with the people and the campus the minute she arrived.

“I knew I wanted to come to a Christian university and God just kept opening the doors to PBA. I’ve really enjoyed the close-knit campus and getting to know more and more people,” said Pride, who plans to pursue a career in collegiate athletic training after graduating.

“We welcome you to PBA, we have high hopes for you, and we look forward to your story becoming one that’s multidimensional and very colorful,” Fleming concluded. “We continue to bless you in your walk with the Lord, in your assignments and the interaction in your University classes.”
