Global Franchisor, Motivational Speaker to Speak at Titus Center
Franchise veteran Dina Dwyer-Owens will speak at a Titus Center for Franchising event this April.
Dwyer-Owens is an acclaimed author and motivational speaker with nearly 40 years of franchise leadership experience, including 15 years as CEO of Dwyer Group, now Neighborly. She is the global franchisor’s longest-serving chairwoman and board member. In 2019, her family endowed the Don Dwyer Scholarship, awarded to one franchising student each year, in memory of her father.
She served as chair of the International Franchise Association in 2010 and advocated for small business owners before the United States House of Representatives Committee on Small Business. She shared the stage with President George W. Bush at the IFA’s 2010 annual convention and previously led revitalization of the association’s program for 650 franchisors that offer financial incentives to military veterans.
Dwyer-Owens participated in CBS’ Emmy-winning hit reality show “Undercover Boss” in 2012. She wrote two books: Live R.I.C.H. and Values, Inc. Both share her message for living and leading with a proven code of values.
Owens is married to Mike Owens. They have a daughter, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and one grandchild.
She will speak 11 a.m. April 22 in the Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation.
