JUPITER HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ATHLETIC ACHIEVEMENTS WITH COMMUNITY PARADE

August 2018

Last school year, Jupiter Community High School won five state championships across different sports, as well as the Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards for overall athletic achievement. The school’s competitive cheerleaders, dance team, boys baseball, and boys lacrosse teams were all state champs. Additionally, Will Lefebvre was a state champion diver.

All of the athletes recently participated in a parade of champions to celebrate the achievements, marching through the streets of Jupiter in front of enthusiastic cheering crowds.

The school’s principal Dr. Colleen Iannitti was on hand for the parade to celebrate with the athletes and community. “They’re so excited, they’ve got our school spirit up,” she said. “Everybody in the community comes out and wants to see what they’re doing. They’re coming to our games. It’s just been an amazing year thanks to all of our athletes.”
