PBA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD WELCOMES 10 NEW MEMBERS

The Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association Board of Directors has elected 10 new members. Newly appointed to the board are:

 

Michael Emsley Armfield ‘05 of West Palm Beach. Armfield is vice president for ArmfieldGroup, Inc. He is involved in Business Network International, West Palm Chamber of Commerce and Association of Christian Counselors. Armfield attends Truth Point Church in West Palm Beach and is involved with Schoolife USA, Wheels for Kids and Taylor’s Closet.

Drew Barsalou ‘10 of West Palm Beach. Barsalou is an associate attorney with Gunster Florida’s Law Firm in West Palm Beach. He is a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services group and concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and estate administration.

April Bernal-Cleek ‘01 of Jupiter. Bernal-Cleek is starting a new company called Illuminative, an apparel line set to launch in January 2019. In addition to being in INC Magazine many times, she was featured in The Wall Street Journal in August of 2015, as well as the winner of Best in Biz during that same year. Bernal has received awards such as the Best Women Run Workplace of the Year by International Stevie Awards and the Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.

Bruce Burk ‘10 of West Palm Beach. Burk is an associate attorney with John B. Clarke & Associates, PA. He serves as treasurer for P.H.A.T. and attends church at Holy Name of Jesus in West Palm Beach.

David Williams ‘17 of Lake Worth. Williams is assistant media coordinator for BallenIsles Community Association. He is a member of Public Relations Society of America Palm Beach Chapter [PRSA]. He attends Common Ground Church in Lake Worth.

Alexandra Cook ‘93, ‘94, MBA Dec ‘94 of Lake Worth. Cook is an adjunct professor for the Rinker School of Business. At age 19, Cook became one of the youngest CPAs in the country. She is a champion archer, who competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials, and level 3 archery coach who worked with veterans with disabilities at Invictus Games and Warrior Games.

Britton Cotton ‘10 of West Palm Beach. Cotton is the director of growth initiatives at Hamilton Capital. He is involved in Lifework Leadership alumni class, and an advisory board member at www.100cameras.org, an organization that teaches photography to children who have had traumatic experiences and provides an online platform to sell their pictures. Cotton attends Christ Fellowship Church.

Katrina Dawe ‘16 of West Palm Beach. Dawe is the public relations and operations manager for BodySite. She was the outstanding graduate for the School of Communication in 2016.

Zach McElroy ‘02 of West Palm Beach. McElroy is a business development manager with Oxygen Development.

Laura Titus ‘16 of West Palm Beach. Titus is involved with South Florida Theatre League and Impact the Palm Beaches. She attends Family Church in downtown West Palm Beach.

Returning board members:

Jean Marseille ‘05 of West Palm Beach returns as board president and Natalie Alvarez ‘11 of Palm Beach Gardens returns as vice president.

The Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association exists to advise and work with the Alumni Relations Office to develop effective alumni programs which support the mission and continued development of Palm Beach Atlantic University; to serve as a conveyor of the Christian heritage of Palm Beach Atlantic University; and provide a mechanism through which the alumni may communicate with each other and serve their alma mater.
