PBA Students, Faculty Bring Home Broadcasting Awards

Ten PBA students and faculty traveled to Las Vegas to participate in the Broadcast Education Association's annual conference, which is associated and synchronized with the annual convention of the National Association of Broadcasters. The School of Communication & Media students and faculty won a total of 10 awards, placing them third overall, only behind Arizona State University with 19 awards and University of Oklahoma with 13.

According to Professor Zarro, one of the three professors who attended the conference, there was a total of 1267 student entries, 147 faculty entries and a total of 98 colleges and universities that participated. 

The Broadcast Education Association is the premier international academic media organization, driving insights, excellence in media production and career advancement for educators, students and professionals.
