August 2018

More than 190,000 students headed back to class today as Palm Beach County schools started the 2018-2019 school year. Students were greeted by teachers and staff at 179 schools across the District.

High fives were given all around by School Police, teachers, staff and community members as students were cheered on and welcomed back to campus.

Superintendent Donald E. Fennoy II and Deputy Superintendent Keith Oswald paid first-day visits to several schools throughout the morning, meeting with new principals, congratulating schools on outstanding progress in their school grades, and visiting students in new programs like the dual language expansion at L.C. Swain Middle and North Grade Elementary.
