Students with Special Needs in Palm Beach County
Current research shows the population of students with special needs is growing significantly. Autism Spectrum studies alone indicated that an estimated 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys are on the Autism spectrum in the United States. Palm Beach County offers a number of educational opportunities for children with special needs from birth to age 22. The School District of Palm Beach County has an innovative Exceptional Student Education program through their public schools, and there are a number of charter and private schools which offer an array of specialized education programs.
As part of the Business Development Board’s initiative to provide a comprehensive overview of K-20 education in Palm Beach County, this section has been dedicated to identifying programs available for children with special needs.
